The soundtrack to the Sundance Festival hit WRISTCUTTERS: A LOVE STORY reflects the dark but wryly funny themes of the film, which include love, death, and suicide. The eclectic set features the Joy Division classic "Love Will Tear Us Apart," written by that most famous of musical suicides, Ian Curtis; Del Shannon's upbeat yet heartbreaking "Cry Myself to Sleep"; and the film's theme song, "Through the Roof 'N' Underground," written and performed by gypsy punks Gogol Bordello (who contribute two other tracks to the soundtrack as well). Composer Bobby Johnston's score is likewise as esoteric and moving as the film itself.
