The Inline Power 10/100BaseT Ethernet switching module supports up to 48 ports per module. Along with phone discovery, these modules support autosensing/autonegotiation to determine the speed and duplex mode of the attached device.??Inline power is 48-volt DC power provided over standard category 5 UTP cable up to 100 meters. Instead of requiring wall power, terminal devices such as IP telephones can utilize power provided from the Catalyst 4000 switch.
